James Cracknell and his wife of 17 years are still coming to terms with their split - but that hasn't stopped them staying close.
Writer Beverley Turner, who has three children with the Olympic rower, was cheering him on as he became the oldest ever winner of the Boat Race.
The pair had been together since 2002 but announced last week that it's all over.
She nursed him back to health following his devastating brain injury in 2010 but they released a joint statement confirming the news.
Beverley cheered him on from the sofa and she tweeted: "Behind every great man an' all that.
"Fantastic performance from James Cracknell and Cambridge University. Congratulations on a hard won victory."

The pair explained they decided to separate last year and their children Croyde, 14, Kiki, 10, and Trixie, eight, remain their priority.
James, 46, said: "I'll be celebrating now with these guys [the winning rowers] and then I've got three more important people in my life that I want to make sure I'm there for.
"It's a really special event. It was a whole different load of pressure and for these guys doing it around studying and student life, it's a great achievement."

Beverley hinted at strains in their marriage in an interview last year.
She said that there were issues but they wanted to stay together for their children.
"On the whole it's better for us to stay together although it is incredibly difficult," he said.
"We are 17 years together now and when were first together I think Heat magazine did a 'we give it two weeks' and that is what has spurred us on - to prove people wrong. It's not perfect."
Beverley added: "The reality is every relationship will go a bit sh**."
