James Corden to be REPLACED as host of Sky's A League of Their Own

US based talk show host James Cordon is to be replaced on popular Sky One sports panel show A League of Their Own, after nine years at the helm.

The 40-year-old former Gavin and Stacey star has had to step aside as host of the show, after a series of filming clashes has led show bosses to turn to a number of guest hosts instead.

It will be the first time that Corden will miss out on being part of the show since it debuted in 2010.

A source told The Sun that the success of The Late Late Show in the United States has impacted on his opportunity to appear on the Sky show.

They revealed that, "James loves A League of Their Own and has always ensured he’s been able to appear," but this summer he has found that, "work commitments mean he cannot make all of the shows."

It is not the end though as James is hoping that, "next year he’ll return to normal as he misses everybody involved.”

James has hosted the show with cricketing legend Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and football star Jamie Redknapp as the team captains.

The comedy actor has previously hailed his role on A League of Their Own as, "the greatest job in the world," and said, when he got offered the show in America, "first thing I said was, ‘I have this show in the UK that I love doing and as long as I’m working in America, I’d love to keep doing this show’".

James had better hope that the guest hosts don't impress too much as Have I Got News For You hasn't looked back since it went to different presenters each week.
