James Corden's production company exposed as being behind Friends reunion show

The reunion people have been asking for for years is finally happening, and Friends fans are thrilled.

With the highly anticipated reunion due to take place in just one week, fans of the iconic show are actively gobbling up everything offered to them.

Jennifer Aniston, who played everyone's favourite runaway bride, posted a teaser to her Instagram account - which has already been viewed over 17.5 million times.

In the clip, the original cast can be seen answering trivia questions about the show in a style that takes fans right back to The One With The Embryos - where Rachel and Monica lose their apartment to Joey and Chandler in a high-stakes quiz led by Ross.

But fans have been universally baffled by the realisation James Corden is part of the show.

Fans haven't been too sure what to make of it; with there being so many guest stars who could've hosted, the choice of the Late Late Show's British star seems a little strange.

But one eagle-eyed TV fan has revealed to Twitter just why James is hosting.

Nick Walker tweeted: "I dunno if this is just not widely known, but James Corden co-owns the production company who are making the Friends special, so if you wanna know why he's in it…"

The show is being directed and executive produced by Ben Winston, who is also the co-executive producer of The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Ben is doing this through production company Fulwell 73, and James is the fifth full-time partner of the TV, film and music production firm after joining in 2017.

Originally based in London, where the headquarters still remain, the company now also has another location in Los Angeles.

The reunion show will be airing on HBO Max from May 27 - but there is still no set date for fans in the UK.
