When 10-year-old Ewan Kennedy heard that Gavin and Stacey were filming their Christmas special down the road in Barry , he jumped at the chance to go and meet the stars.
But for Ewan, it was less about meeting celebrities and more about meeting his former co-stars as Ewan was .
Ewan, from Swansea , spent most of summer in 2009 filming with James Corden and Ruth Jones, who play on-off couple Smithy and Nessa and Neil's parents, in the show.
So when Ewan heard they were back in Barry, he just had to go.
Mum Petra Kennedy, 41, said: "We've just been down to see everyone.
"It was great. James remembered Ewan. We had a chat with James and Ruth [Jones]. They were really pleased to see him and they were reminiscing about when he was little.
"We had a little chat and had some photos.
"Ewan just wanted to see everyone and get some photos he can remember - he's always seeing James on TV."

Some of the original cast members were spotted filming on Trinity Street in Barry on Friday afternoon.
As well as James Corden and Ruth Jones, Rob Brydon, who plays Uncle Bryn, and Melanie Walters, who plays Gwen, have also been seen on set.
Joanna Page, who plays Stacey, as well as Mathew Horne, who plays husband Gavin, were also spotted.
It is understood that filming for interior scenes of the Christmas episode have taken place on Friday afternoon and will continue into the evening.
Over the weekend there will be road closures around Trinity Street to allow for outside filming, which will take place mainly during the hours of darkness.
The road closure will be from Jenner Road down to Princess Street, while filming takes place on Trinity Street, through to Wenvoe Terrace, Montgomery and Porthkerry Road.
