James Corden has COVID, credits booster for feeling ‘completely fine’

James Corden has joined the growing list of celebrities, and late night TV hosts, with breakthrough COVID-19 cases.

The “Late Late Show” host revealed on Instragram Thursday that he had the virus.

“I just tested positive for Covid 19,” wrote Corden, 43. “I’m fully vaccinated, boosted and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine.”

The CBS late night talk show is on pause in the coming days as a result, he said. Comments on the post were turned off.

In the wake of holiday gatherings and right in the midst of an omicron-fueled surge in much of the world, events are once again being canceled and made virtual.

Corden’s fellow late night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers both revealed this week that they recently tested positive.

Fallon shared on Instagram Monday he had tested positive at the start of “The Tonight Show” holiday break.

“I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms,” he captioned a photo of himself in an NBC isolation room, thanking nurses behind the vaccination campaign and the network “for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job.”

The “Tonight Show” host was “back to 100%” by the time he posted and back on the job for Monday’s new episode.

Fellow NBC-er Meyers announced his positive test result Tuesday, saying he also felt “fine (thanks vaccines and booster!),” though the rest of the week’s “Late Night” episodes were canceled.

“Tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!” he quipped.

Medical experts are recommending anyone who is eligible for an mRNA booster — from either Pfizer or Moderna — get it as soon as they can.
