James Corden dons another classic tracksuit top in latest Gavin and Stacey filming pictures

James Corden's character Smithy loves a tracksuit top - he even put his most famous Smithy tracksuit top on Arnold Schwarzenegger for a Late Late Show sketch.

And he's been photographed in another classic as the stars of Gavin and Stacey were spotted on the streets of Barry again on Monday night, July 15, filming the new Christmas episode.

Co-creator James Corden, who plays Smithy and Mathew Horne, who played Gavin in the hit show, were spotted coming out of the Bassett pub in Barry.

Last week, the whole crew were spotted and a light up Santa and other Christmas decorations were put up on the outside wall of a terraced house.

James Corden has said the decision to run to Barry came after 10 years of talking about what the likes of Ness, Byn and Gwen would be up to now.

In a statement, he and Ruth Jones said: "Over the last 10 years we’ve talked a lot about Gavin & Stacey - where they might be today and what their lives might look like.

"And so in secret we took the plunge and wrote this one hour special. We’ve loved revisiting Barry and Essex again and bringing the characters back together has been a joy.

"We’re so excited to get the chance to work with our fabulous cast and crew once more and to give fans of the show a festive treat this Christmas. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen.”

Filming continued at the weekend and there were road closures in place which allowed the crew to film during the evening.
