James Bradberry ranked No. 14 at cornerback via Next Gen Stats

Through the evolution of advanced statistics, NFL analysts are getting better tools each year at evaluating the more difficult positions to grade. Cornerback is one of them. James Koh at Next Gen Stats has come up with a ranking of the top 25 corners in the league right now according to a mix of seven different metrics.

At the top of the list was Xavien Howard of the Dolphins, followed by Stephon Gilmore of the Patriots. The only Panthers corner to make the list was James Bradberry, who came in at No. 14. As one might expect, Bradberry’s metrics are all over the place.

While Bradberry did an excellent job of not allowing separation (he ranked first in this area) he also gave up the most touchdowns (seven). Bradberry also allowed the third lowest catch rate but ranked No. 24 in yards allowed.
