James Bond lookalike fears his career will end following the final appearance of Daniel Craig in No Time to Die

With the final James Bond featuring Daniel Craig opening in cinemas, a man who looks "pretty much like Bond" fears his career will end.

Steve Wright, 53, said that the release of No Time to Die could be the beginning of the end of his 14-year career as a doppelganger of the iconic fictional spy.

But the lookalike - who's just two weeks younger than the real Daniel Craig - believes he can still squeeze out a few more jobs before the curtain falls.

Steve said: "Once the new film is out I think that will be the end of me. The final curtain will have come down.

"In nine months they'll name the new Bond. But I think I've got some time left."

Steve from Buty St Edmunds, Suffolk, who's travelled to Dubai and Monaco as a James Bond lookalike, said he may don his tuxedo when he watches No Time To Die at his local cinema on Monday, for what could be the last time.

As a doppelganger, Steve charges upwards of £577 for a two-hour meet and greet session, according to his agency website.

Steve said: "I'm not quite a 100 per cent lookalike but I look pretty much like him with my gun out and tuxedo on.

"A good lookalike is about the interaction you have with the people."

The spy has had a busy schedule ahead of the No Time to Die release, with a premiere event in Birmingham yesterday evening.

Steve, who grew up in the seaside town of Sherringham, Norfolk, said that he first got into the lookalike business after a friend told him he looked like Daniel Craig.

He said: "When Casino Royale came out in 2006 people said I had a little bit of resemblance to him.

"I sent some pictures to a lookalike agency and in a month I was in a luxury hotel in Monaco just about to start a gig thinking 'what the f*** am I doing here?'

"I've been to Dubai, South Africa, Monaco and more [for the job].

"I do meet and greets, balls, and TV appearances."

Steve is also a commercial photographer, and he said the highlight of his career was appearing alongside Daniel Craig in a scene in the 2008 film Quantum of Solace.

He's also featured at events alongside fellow lookalikes for James Bond stars such as Sean Connery, Jaws and Odd Job.
