James Bond: Health and safety bosses probe Bond 25 film set after crew member injured by 'controlled explosion'

Health and safety officers are looking into an incident on the set of the 25th James Bond film.

One crew member was injured following a “controlled explosion” on set at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. 

A message posted on the film franchise’s official Twitter account confirmed that one worker with “minor injuries”.

The Government’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has yet to launch a formal investigation, but said in a statement: “HSE is aware of the incident and making initial inquiries.”

The incident came after Bond star Daniel Craig was injured during filming in Jamaica last month, causing him to undergo “minor ankle surgery”.

The 25th Bond instalment is expected to be Craig’s fifth outing as Bond. Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris and Jeffrey Wright are also returning to the cast.

Oscar winner Rami Malek, Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch and Game Night actor Billy Magnussen are among the new cast members.
