James Bond flick No Time To Die 'faces second delay over rising US Covid cases'

James Bond's latest outing is being delayed again, according to reports.

The spy flick - Daniel Craig's final installation as super sleuth 007 - is reportedly facing the possibility of having its release pushed back for a second time.

It was announced back in March the film wouldn't be meeting its initial April release date because of the coronavirus crisis.

James Bond's latest installment was pushed back to November.

But now those plans have reportedly been scuppered by concerns over the American movie-going audience.

For a blockbuster franchise like Bond, the US audience is a huge target - and with rising Covid-19 cases across the pond, it's said talks are underway to make a decision.

A Tinseltown insider told The Sun : "There are very secret discussions moving forward about what to do.

"Bond films are massive money spinners; people forget Daniel's work on Skyfall and Spectre staved off potential bankruptcy for the MGM company with its profits."

They added: "Simply put having No Time To Die earning less thank half a billion at the box office would be deemed a disaster - no matter the circumstances."

Mirror Online has contacted a rep for MGM for comment.

MGM filed for bankruptcy in 2010 before a last minute rescue deal was struck.

Daniel started his spy career back in 2006, with his first entry into the franchise, Casino Royale.

Since he has starred in Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012) and 2016's Spectre.

And while Daniel, the rest of the cast and director Cary Fukunaga have kept mum about what we can expect from No Time To Die, some fans reckon they've wrangled a particular plot point.

Some fans reckon famous lothario Bond has settled into fatherhood in the film - but those behind the film have kept tight-lipped.

As No Time To Die marks Daniel's last mission, fans are also busy speculating who could possibly fill his shoes after he's hung up the tux.

Names like James Norton and Sam Heughan have been floated, as has Marvel star Tom Hiddleston.

Normal People's Paul Mescal has been put forward by swooning fans after his performance in the onscreen adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel.
