James Bond: Daniel Craig 'really quite drunk' as he makes emotional speech at No Time To Die wrap party

Daniel Craig admitted he was “really quite drunk” as he made an emotional speech at the No Time To Die wrap party, marking his last ever outing as James Bond.

“I just want to say, and I am really quite drunk now so I won’t go on for long, this has been the best, most wonderful experience I have ever had,” Craig told director Barbara Broccoli and others who worked on the film.

“You have all done the most amazing job,” he added. “I could not be more proud to work with every single one of you.

“I would like to thank you for this evening, for Barbara, for putting it on. Thank goodness, we did this tonight.”

The cast and crew celebrated the wrapping of the latest Bond film in Matera, Italy.

In No Time To Die, Craig is joined by Rami Malek as the villain and Lashana Lynch as Nomi. Naomie Harris and Lea Seydoux also reprise their roles in the movie.

Craig’s tenure as James Bond has not been the smoothest ride, with an ankle injury incurred on set earlier this year leading to surgery and the actor revealing in 2015 that he’d “rather slash my wrists” than play the character again.

Various setbacks including Danny Boyle’s departure from No Time To Die have also led to the film’s original release date of 8 November 2019 being delayed.

No Time To Die will be released in cinemas on 3 April 2020.
