James Bond 25: Rami Malek villain role 'confirmed' accidentally by stunt man

James Bond 25 may have had its Bond villain confirmed by a stunt double on the film.

It has previously been reported that Bohemian Rhapsody star and Oscar-winner Rami Malek was up for the role of the villain in James Bond 25.

Now, as revealed by James Bond Twitter fan page @Bond25Film, it would appear that French stunt performer Sebastien Soudai has hinted at Malek's role in the Bond film when confirming his own part in the film via a now amended Instagram post.

The caption has now been amended but previously Soudai had written "Like a child's dream coming true...New movie, new adventures!! I'm SO delighted and grateful to be a part of this project and to be surrounded by the kindest people ever !"

He also added at the end the suggestive line "We will rock you"

The implication of this is, of course, a reference to hit Queen song We Will Rock You, which Malek portrayed Freddie Mercury performing in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Malek previously said he would be keen to take on the "dream role" of a Bond villain.

Daniel Craig is due to reprise his role as 007 one last time in the currently untitled Bond 25.

The working title was previously revealed as Shatterhand, but the real title of the film is rumoured to be Eclipse.

Craig will be joined by SPECTRE Bond Girl Lea Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny.

The film will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga following the departure of Danny Boyle.

Bond 25 is released in UK cinemas on April 8, 2020.
