James Argent urgently joins the gym after 'death row' weight warning

James Argent has signed up to a boxing gym after being warned his weight gain has put him on 'death row'.

The chilling prediction from a weight loss expert has prompted the TOWIE star to join London's Peacock Boxing Club - where a session costs just £4.

"I’ve been warned I’m on 'Death Row” because of my weight gain!" he wrote on Instagram , sharing shots of himself in the boxing ring.

"Today my life changes & I’m back in the boxing gym! @peacockboxingclub is my new home! #healthylifestyle #hardwork #dedication."

Earlier this week expert Steven Miller, who runs hypnosis programme Fatnosis, estimated that 31 year old Arg now weighs 18 stone and has a 40-inch waist.

"I really am concerned about Arg," he told Best magazine .

"Being so fat can often mean you are on death row.

"I want him to realise he might soon suffer a heart attack, stroke and even cancer due to his size."

And Arg - who is in a relationship with TOWIE diva Gemma Collins - previously opened up about his weight battles, admitting he finds it tough to stick with good habits.

“In regards to my body – I need to work on that. I need to get back in the gym and boxing again," he said.

“I’m desperate to get back on track. I need to work on my fitness that is my number one New Year’s resolution – but I find it so difficult.

“I struggle to get into a routine and structure with my job I’m here, there and everywhere.

“I’m not going to put a goal or aim on it because I can’t put any pressure on myself."
