James Argent starts healthy cooking regime after doctors warn he could die

James Argent has kickstarted a new healthy eating routine after doctors warned him that he could die if he doesn't lose weight.

The former TOWIE star, who weighed almost 27 stone at his heaviest, took to his Instagram account on Thursday night to film himself cooking after getting healthy meal boxes delivered.

He admitted that he is a "terrible cook" but liked the convenience of getting a meal box delivered so he can plan his food properly.

Dressed in a novelty apron with a muscular man on the front, Arg, 33, said he would be making a lamb and aubergine curry.

In the video he was sat in his dining room with all his ingredients laid out on the table.

James showed his followers how to make the meal step by step.

He showed off the results at the end, saying: "I've just finished cooking and I cannot wait to tuck in."

James is determined to get his life back on track after his weight crept up during lockdown.

He has recently been seen exercising in a park in a bid to lose weight.

Speaking on a recent episode of Loose Women, he admitted that he’s waiting on a gastric band surgery which he hopes will help him to finally stop binge eating and turn his life around.

"If I catch Covid, I could be one of the people in serious trouble," he explained.

"I spoke to my doctor on the phone numerous amounts of time and even though I had lost a lot of weight at the start of the year I was always considering weight loss surgery.

"My doctor said the weight I am right now, 26 stone, that is danger territory.”
