James "Arg" Argent has made a fresh bid to win over his on/off girlfriend, Gemma Collins .
The 31 year-old hopes that the lavish Woodford home will show the GC that he's turned his life around.
The Sun Online revealed that Arg had bought the pad, and that it's just a moment away from mate Mark Wright .
Earlier this month, Arg and Gemma split yet again and Arg was forced to shack up with his mum for a bit.
They've reconciled since, and Arg is hoping to show Gemma that he can provide for her.
A source told The Sun Online that the new house is a way for Arg to prove to Gemma and himself that he's grown up.
They said: "Arg is determined to sort himself out and grow up and he is hoping that buying this home will be the perfect way to prove himself.
"With five bedrooms, it would work as a proper family home and he is even getting it renovated before he moves in.
"He is settling down just around the corner from his best pal Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan , and hopes to emulate their level of marital bliss with Gemma.
"Although Gemma isn't officially moving in with Arg, that is his long-term goal and he hopes that eventually she will be living there with him.
"This is his way of proving that he has grown up and is ready to settle down once and for all."
The pair have had a turbulent relationship, being on/off since 2011 when Gemma joined Towie .
Arg recently took to social media to announce that he would be making "the biggest comeback of 2020."
He accompanied his words with a snap of him at the gym, wrapped in a towel and rocking a pair of swimming goggles and a swimming cap.
