James Argent drops Line of Duty spoiler during Good Morning Britain debut - and viewers are fuming

TOWIE star James Argent dropped a bit of a clanger during his presenting debut on Monday's Good Morning Britain.

He was standing in as showbiz reporter for Richard Arnold and gave ITV viewers the entertainment news.

Some claimed he was 'wooden' and 'struggled' while reading the autocue - but that wasn't the worst part.

Arg managed to 'spoil' Line of Duty for fans who missed Sunday night's explosive ending, despite admitting he hadn't seen the episode.

Presenter Richard Madeley confirmed a major character had been killed off, much to Kate Garraway's horror, then Arg revealed in no uncertain terms who died.

Arg said: "I think it's Stephen Graham isn't it, the actor. He's one of my favourite actors. I watched him in Snatch. I absolutely love him.

Kate Garraway offers 'sober' James Argent a Mojito at 6am in awkward Good Morning Britain debut

"It's a bit like Game Of Thrones. They chop the big names out of nowhere."

Trying to smooth things over, but conceding the secret was out, Richard replied: "I don’t know who it was ...and I don’t want to know who it was. But apparently it was a big member of the cast."

Sheepish Arg added: "Let's just leave it there."

GMB viewers who had not watched Sunday night's thrilling episode took to Twitter to slam Arg.

One angry Line of Duty fan said: "Arg just said who was killed in last nights #lineofduty"

"Arg has spoilt it for everyone," added another.

However, one viewer blamed someone else: "Arg tries his best not to spoil it but @richardm56 just basically gives it away who dies in #LineOfDuty. Subtle as a brick through a greenhouse window mate..."
