James Argent has proudly showcased his incredible weight-loss – having shed over 11stone and after vowing to lose his fat before the end of the year.
The 34-year-old reality star has astonished fans this year by dropping weight after receiving ‘life-saving’ gastric sleeve surgery to help him get his dangerous weight under control.
Arg had ballooned to 27 stone before he sought medical help to get his weight under control – but has credited a positive mental attitude for helping him achieve his goals too.
Taking to Instagram on Christmas Eve, the former The Only Way Is Essex star shared a video of himself from earlier in the year and before he had his surgery, showing himself vowing to lose weight.

Posing topless in a gym, Arg can be heard stating: “By Christmas or possibly the end of the summer, this is gonna be shredded, the back fat is going to be be gone, I'm going to be fit as a fiddle! Feeling fit and strong.”
Sharing the video to his main Instagram feed, Arg captioned the moment: “I spoke this into existence. Dream It. Believe It. Become It! Merry Christmas Everyone, Love Arg.”
He added: “Swipe right to see my dreams come true!”
And, indeed, if fans clicked on his post to reveal the next image, Arg could be seen posing in a snowman t-shirt while looking incredibly slim.

The star is a world away from the dangerously overweight man he was at the beginning of the year – while fans have been granted access to Arg’s impressive weight-loss journey thanks to regular social media updates and on-screen appearances.
Back in May, Arg explained to Steph’s Packed Lunch that he struggled to look at his own reflection when he was at his heaviest.
He said at the time: “It felt horrible, I was always extremely uncomfortable, I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror.
“It felt depressing and it just wasn’t me. Now I’m starting to feel like myself again and I’m excited about what the future is going to bring.”
He told Steph: “It was scary being 27 stone… It was serious, doctors were telling me how dangerous it was… I knew it was something I had to address pretty quickly.
“[It was] nerve-wracking leading up to [the surgery, but] it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m over six weeks post-surgery and I feel great.”
Having now lost more than 11stone, fans have been congratulating Arg on his incredible transformation.
One follower commenting on his Instagram Christmas dream come true video wrote: “oh mate amazing merry christmas” alongside a red heart emoji – and another gushed: “What a guy… smashed it brother.”
