James 'Arg' Argent felt Tom Parker was there at The Wanted star's 'beautiful' funeral

James 'Arg' Argent felt Tom Parker was there as he opened up about the singer's "beautiful" funeral.

The Wanted star was laid to rest in a heartbreaking but poignant ceremony in Petts Woods, London yesterday, where fans, family and friends lined the streets to pay tribute to the Gold Forever singer after his sad death.

Tom tragically died at the age of 33 last month after a battle with an inoperable brain tumour and his widow Kelsey had everyone in tears as she made a brave and emotional eulogy at her husband's funeral.

Arg was one of the celebs in attendance at the sad event but he explained how he felt Tom was there with them.

"It was extremely sad at times - it was tough for everyone, however there were really special beautiful moments throughout the day and it really felt like Tom’s presence was there. It couldn’t have gone any better. The sun was shining," he said on Good Morning Britain.

Arg also revealed that he had asked Kelsey if it was ok if he came onto the ITV breakfast show.

He added: "I checked with Kelsey and she was really keen on me coming on. She didn’t want me to just talk about me and Tom’s friendship, just the fact of how much of an incredible person he was."

Kelsey's moving eulogy had the whole congregation in tears.

"You’ve shown our children how to be brave, courageous and strong," she said in a pre-recorded message, "Even in our darkest days, we tried to stay positive. Positive Parker’s forever. [The children] will always know how much you loved them.

"And let’s be honest, they now have the best guardian angel looking over them through life and so have I. We will carry on your legacy forever. I just want to thank Noreen and Nigel (Tom’s parents) for raising the man I fell in love with and bringing him into the world because he is my world. Soulmates ... that is what we are. You were my best friend but more."

Elsewhere, his bandmate Max George paid poignant tribute to his friend and 'brother'.

"All I have got to say is he left us far too early and we’ll miss him so much. I think the heartbreak shared today is a credit to the love Tom spread around the world. The people outside, the people there today all over the world. You rest easy mate," he shared.
