James and Ola Jordan share on hospital dash with baby Ella amid coronavirus pandemic

James and Ola Jordan have detailed their worry when they had to take their newborn baby Ella to hospital amid the coronavirus lockdown.

The parents - who conceived their first child with the help of IVF - shared their worrying experience when they appeared via webcam on Thursday's Loose Women.

The professional dance couple explained that they grew concerned when their bundle of joy, now 11-weeks-old, started making choking noises at the age of 5-weeks.

James, 41, and Ola, 37,  were hesitant to seek medical help due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis but luckily they did after admitting that they would have "never forgiven themselves" if something had happened to Ella.

As they spoke to the Loose ladies Ola told: "At about 5 weeks she started to choke on her own saliva and it got to the point when in the evening it was bad and she was struggling to sleep."

James then told that the couple dialled the NHS hotline 111 and after speaking to a telephone advisor an ambulance was sent to their home.

He explained: "They came to our house suited and booted in full ppe and they took her to hospital."

Sharing their understandable worries about going to hospital during the pandemic, Ola added: "You down want to go to the hospital because of the covid.."

Before James added: "we would have never forgiven ourselves if anything went wrong."

The loving parents then revealed that little Ella was diagnosed with silent reflux.

Sometimes babies may have signs of reflux, but will not bring up milk or be sick. This is known as silent reflux, according to the NHS website.
