James Acaster reckons Newcastle is the best place to get a meal in the country.
The comedian, who has been touring the UK and appeared at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in November, lauded the city's scran scene on his popular podcast Off Menu.
Speaking on a Christmas special episode of the show, in which guests describe their dream meals, singled one restaurant out for particular praise.
He told co-host Ed Gamble and guest Joe Lycett: "That is the best thing, I've really enjoyed touring and finding places to eat. The best place to eat in the country at the minute I think is Newcastle, it's got so many amazing places.
"And Chucho's, in Newcastle, has the best tacos that I've had Britain. It's this family run place and they did a haggis taco and it's the best thing I've had on the whole tour, it was so good."
Run by couple Emma Wass and Jesus Tavizon Sosa, Chucho's was born when Jesus, missing the food of his Mexican homeland, decided they should learn to make tacos the way people did back home.
They worked their way up through dinner parties with friends, to a street food van, to their flagship restaurant on Byker's Shields road.
They've now got a second restaurant on Acorn Road in Jesmond, as well as a spot in the Hawker Market, at By The River in Gateshead, when it opens in the summer.
And the pair were delighted by the praise from the stand-up, whose foodie podcast was nominated as one of the best entertainment shows of the year in the 2019 British Podcast Awards.
"We’re so chuffed," she said.
