Jamel Herring shows off ripped physique as he begins Carl Frampton camp

Jamel Herring has shown off an impressive physique weeks out from his anticipated showdown with Carl Frampton.

The pair are expected to meet early in 2021 with a date and venue yet to be confirmed.

The clash was originally scheduled for June 13 in Belfast but had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Both men have fought since then, with Herring defending his WBO world super-featherweight title against Jonathan Oquendo and Frampton easing past Darren Traynor.

Frampton flew over to Manchester on Sunday night to kick-start his own training camp, where he will work with Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis.

Former US Marine Herring is rarely out of shape, and he proved that in a video posted on his social media which shows the 35-year-old already ripped.

"I'm not even in shape yet. We're going to get there though," Herring says in the video.

"I ain't saying we're fight ready now, but we're going to get there. We're going to get there."

Frampton is hoping to become Ireland's first-ever three weight world champion when he fights Herring.

He said on Twitter: "All smiles. Back in camp with the boys tomorrow #TimeToMakeHistory"
