Jameis Winston tried (and failed) to appear serious while explaining last-second TD decision against Falcons

The New Orleans Saints may not have won the division, but they are causing a commotion, and Jameis Winston is seemingly the ringleader in trying to explain why New Orleans was making the most of a late-game moment.

In case you missed it, the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints Week 18 matchup ended dramatically. Former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith went scorched earth on Saints head coach Dennis Allen after taking exception to a late touchdown.

After the game, Allen apologized and explained that there was a push to get running back Jamaal Williams the ball. More details have been released, and we now know it was a collective team decision to override Allen, who wanted to take a knee. WOOF.

The best part is that Jameis Winston attempted to explain what happened to the media, but he unintentionally (and hilariously) might have made it worse.

There’s also been another development.

Despite it being  “hate week” between the two teams, it seems that Smith wasn’t the only one who had a problem with the late score. A journalist in the locker room had an awkward back-and-forth with Winston about what should have happened.
