The New Orleans Saints announced that quarterback Jameis Winston is questionable to return in Week 8’s game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering a knee injury during an illegal horse collar tackle by linebacker Devin White. He was evaluated on the sidelines before being moved to the locker room on a trainers’ cart.
It’s good that Winston was not immediately ruled out to return, but we shouldn’t expect him to come back into this game. His right leg was twisted very awkwardly on the tackle and it’s potentially a very serious injury. But let’s hope for the best.
