Jameis Winston brought back his awkward ‘Eat a W’ celebration after Saints beat Bucs

The year was 2017. Jameis Winston didn’t know at the time he’d be two seasons away from throwing 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in what would be his final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was just over three years ago to the day that Winston tried hyping up his teammates with a speech in which he implored his teammates to “eat a W.” At the time, we declared it “one of the worst pre-game speeches in the history of sports.” He’s been trolled for it since at least twice by opposing players.

Now, Winston is a member of the New Orleans Saints, who trounced the Bucs on Sunday night. And while his teammate Drew Brees was speaking to a reporter after the victory, guess what Winston trotted out?

Yep. He ate a W.

Here’s the original, in case you missed it.
