Jameis Winston becomes emotional speaking about Drew Brees

Jameis Winston is sharing. The Saints’ quarterback was asked about what his moments with the retiring future Hall of Famer Drew Brees meant to him.

“I love Drew Brees for real,” Winston said, “I really do.”

“It was a dream of mine,” Winston said of playing with Brees last season. “… He doesn’t even know how much he means to me.

“I really love Drew Brees. I don’t think he understands. I know my wife do. I know my family do. You have to understand the impact that him and a lot of other quarterbacks had on me as a quarterback growing up in Bessemer, Alabama. A lot of people don’t understand the human aspect to an athlete. I love Drew Brees, for real.”
