Jamaal Lascelles' reaction to VAR ruling out Callum Wilson's Liverpool goal is priceless

Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles was still fuming at the VAR decision that ruled out Callum Wilson's goal at Liverpool - even as Joe Willock pulled the scores level.

Wilson's late effort was ruled out for handball but United didn't let their heads drop and secured a valuable point moments later thanks to Willock's late, late strike.

Courtesy of Lascelles' mam - Jill - who posted a video on her Twitter account we've got an insight into the fury the defender felt.

The video shows Lascelles ' dad, Tim, jumping around the room in joy as Willock nets before ringing his son, who is out injured, shouting 'you have to be kidding me!' - Lascelles though is more concerned about the VAR decision replying: 'how is it handball?'

Lascelles' coverage could have been a few minutes behind but fans will be pleased to see that the captain is following the games and kicking every ball despite not be able to play.

Mo Salah had opened the scoring early on with a superb strike from close range but Jurgen Klopp's men failed to make their dominance pay in a game that was as entertaining as it was crazy.

The result sees Newcastle move nine points clear of Fulham in 18th with just five games left to play.
