Jalen Ramsey trying to recruit WR Golden Tate to the Jags via Twitter

Free agency is just three days away, however, Jalen Ramsey has got an early start on trying to bring in his team a new wide receiver. Sunday afternoon, the Pro Bowl corner tweeted the Jacksonville Jaguars to inform him that Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Golden Tate may be available in a few days and that acquiring him would definitely make his family happy.

As most are aware, Ramsey is dating Tate’s sister, who had Ramsey’s first child last season. That said, signing Tate would provide Bre a chance to watch her brother and Ramsey’s daughter, Breelyn, a chance to watch her uncle in person more frequently.

The Jags certainly could use a receiver, however, they need a player who can win jump ball situations and serve the role Allen Robinson once did with the team. Tate seems more like a flanker type receiver, which the Jags already have in Dede Westbrook who has a somewhat similar skill set.

Truth be told, I think the Jags will more so look to add help at tight end in free agency, while using the draft as an option for a receiver. Still, you can’t blame Ramsey for trying to help the team find play-makers, which they desperately need on offense.
