Jalen Ramsey’s status vs. Saints not certain, per ESPN

Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan told business news outlet The Street that he believes All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey will take the field this weekend against the New Orleans Saints after meeting with him. However, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN, it’s not a given. Her sources informed her that the Ramsey will “listen to his body,” so it appears the uncertainty will continue for fans.

Ramsey has been on the injury report two weeks with a back injury. That, combined with the birth of his daughter, has prevented him from playing against the Broncos and the Carolina Panthers. However, he returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday and was projected to practice on Thursday, which also will probably be on a limited basis.

Ramsey’s request to be traded from the team also hasn’t been rescinded through all of his issues, so if he can’t go, it will only bring more skeptics to the situation. However, if he does play that would be huge for the Jags, as the Saints have receiving threats like Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara, who are among the top players in the league at their respective positions.
