DeVonta Smith has a great chance to be the first wide receiver taken in the 2021 NFL draft after a remarkable career at Alabama that ended with a Heisman Trophy and National Championship. When he does make it to then NFL, he’ll be challenged by the league’s best cornerbacks.
The defender he’s most looking forward to is also arguably the NFL’s best cornerback: Jalen Ramsey. Smith revealed in a Bleacher Report AMA (ask me anything) that Ramsey is the corner he most looks forward to a matchup against.

Smith is an incredibly talented receiver with elite route-running skills, strong hands and good speed. Ramsey is a physical cornerback who can win in man coverage, zone coverage, off or man – you name it, he can do it.
If and when these two players square off, it will undoubtedly be a fun matchup.
