Jalen Ramsey expected to practice for first time in 2 weeks

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is expected to practice in some capacity Wednesday, according to the team. After the news was announced, the All-Pro was seen walking to the practice field with his teammates, which is a positive sign after what has been a crazy three-week period with the team.

Not only has Ramsey been the talk of national writers because of the back injury that has kept him out the last two weeks, but he’s also been a topic of discussion because of his request for a trade — which hasn’t been rescinded. After the Jags’ Week 2 loss to the Houston Texans, he reportedly had an argument with the organization’s football operations leader, Tom Coughlin, and the incident left him feeling unappreciated and “disrespected.”

Afterward, Ramsey started in the Jags’ Week 3 prime-time game against the Tennessee Titans but surfaced on the injury report the following week with the back injury. That resulted in him seeing a specialist for the issue this week. He also sat out and missed some days for various other reasons, including flulike symptoms and the birth of his second daughter.

All that said, today is shaping up to be the first time Ramsey has practiced in weeks. We’ll have an update on how much he practiced when the injury report is released this afternoon.
