It’s QB Speak 101: Never throw the team under the bus.
That should apply to the entire team. But when you’re Jalen Hurts and you’re struggling as of late, it’s probably best to stick to the usual “I have to do better” stuff.
And to Hurts’ credit, after his Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Seattle Seahawks 20-17 on Monday, part of his postgame response was “It starts with me.”
But it didn’t end with him. Because Hurts also said “I’ve been talking about execution all year. Being on the same page, everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute. I don’t think we were committed enough, you know. Just got to turn it around.”

Sure, the part about “not having a dictionary on me” is funny, but this is more serious: You can’t throw the team under the bus, even if they’re not committed or executing as a full squad. And that’s ESPECIALLY true when we haven’t seen MVP-level play from Hurts himself as of late.
