Jalen Brunson Exits in First Quarter of Game vs. Cavaliers With Knee Injury

Jalen Brunson didn’t even make it a minute into Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers before he had to be helped off the court.

Just 38 seconds into the New York Knicks’ trip to Cleveland, Brunson was on the ground after suffering what the team would later call a “sore left knee.”

Brunson looped through the lane to get open, and after popping up a shot, he came down awkwardly, and was unable to get up on his own.

Brunson was initially listed as questionable to return, but was later downgraded to out.

It's a tough blow to a Knicks team that has already been dealing with a slew of injuries across the roster, including Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson and OG Anunoby.

New York currently sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, but is just a game out of the play-in spots.
