Jake Wood pokes fun at Winter Love Island’s Ollie Williams with lookalike meme

It’s not just us regular folk who enjoy a Love Island meme or two as ahead of the new series an EastEnders star has got in on the action.

When the first Winter Love Island line-up was announced earlier this week, fans didn’t waste any time in having some light-hearted fun.

One of the most popular posts doing the rounds on social media features Ollie William’s press shot next to one of Jake Wood as Max Branning with the text: “Good To See Max From The Villa Going Into The Villa!” [sic]

And it seems the actor himself endorses the comparison.

Sharing the meme on Instagram, Jake added a caption containing two laughing face emoji and a reference to one of Ollie’s interesting boasts.

“FYI I’m the one on the right who doesn’t own a beach in Cornwall,” he wrote.

Prior to heading into the villa, Ollie has made some bold claims about his lineage, stating that he is the heir to the Lanhydrock estate.

He also claims he will inherit the Viscount Clifden title when his father “passes away or abdicates” and tells women he owns Polzeath beach in Cornwall.

Ollie is one of 12 Islanders who will be making themselves at home in the villa on Sunday but the fresh batch of contestants probably shouldn’t get too comfortable.

As always, ITV will introduce plenty of bombshell housemates who could turn heads while regular dumpings will see Islanders leaving the luxury Cape Town abode and heading back to the UK.

Winter Love Island starts on Sunday, January 12 on ITV at 9pm.
