Jake Quickenden suffers embarrassing fake tan fail and looks like a 'Wotsit'

Jake Quickenden suffered an embarrassing fake tan fail as he attempted to alleviate his lockdown boredom.

The former X Factor contestant, 31, shared a hilarious video on social media where he unfortunately made his face five shades darker than his body with the help of an at-home tanning machine.

He decided to leave his ripped body a more natural colour.

"Why.... don’t ask I’m bored. 5 layers and look like wotsit," he captioned the entertaining clip.

Much to the entertainment of his 760,000 Instagram followers, Jake then ran through his house shouting "ready for the day ahead," at the top of his lungs.

The former Dancing On Ice star then burst into his bedroom and horrified his girlfriend Sophie Church with the hilarious results.

His funny tanning joke has naturally tickled his followers, who left a number of thankful comments.

"Just saw this on news feed don’t know who you are but hilarious," wrote one social media fan.

Evidently looking for ways to entertain himself during the lockdown, Jake has also shared a number of hilarious Instagram story clips where he donned different accents, shaveed his facial hair and downed a beer for the NHS.

Aside for his lockdown antics, the two-time X Factor contestant recently expressed his desire to help out during the coronavirus crisis.

As a result, the musician penned and released the track Quarantine Song and he's also signed up to be a NHS helper.

Jake has since explained that his motivation behind creating the song was to raise money for the NHS from song downloads.
