Jake Quickenden has 'bad anxiety' leaving son behind to resume cruise ship work

Jake Quickenden has admitted than he has "really bad anxiety" at the thought of getting away for work now that he has a son.

The singer admitted six months is a long time to spend away from his son Leo.

Although Jake has worked on cruises before, the perspective of just how long six months is when you have a baby has left the new dad feeling anxious.

Speaking on FUBAR Radio, he told TOWIE star Bobby Norris: “I was supposed to be on cruises for six months singing. So it looks like they're going again.

"So I will probably be leaving."

He added: "It gives me really bad anxiety now I've got Leo to think that I could be away for such a long time."

With the anxiety present in his mind, the doting dad still feels the need to earn money for his family.

The former X Factor contestant told the radio host: "But at the end of the day, I love working. I love kind of what I do.

"And I want to kind of get cracked on back to work, because, like I said, that baby milk and those nappies, they’re not cheap."

Jake and his girlfriend Sophie Church welcomed their sweet son on February 26.

The two parents set up an Instagram page for the tiny tot, with them most recently posting Leo dressed up as a lion.

They captioned the post "Hi guys.... daddy dressed me up like a lion and when I’m old enough I’m gonna smash his face in for this! X"

Jake recently made headlines for slamming back at evil online trolls who made shocking comments about his son.
