Jake Quickenden has opened up about his thoughts on becoming a dad for the first time and why he has decided not to find out his baby's gender.
The Dancing On Ice star beamed on Lorraine today as he expressed his excitement ahead of the birth of his first child.
Jake is expecting a baby with girlfriend Sophie after she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage in November.
"It was really hard, it was hard for Soph," he said. "Luckily I managed to keep you positive and here we are now."
Asked how she was doing, Sophie told host Lorraine Kelly: "So far it hasn't been too good because I've been feeling really sick."
Jake said that he had got used to the idea of being a dad after being around Sophie's son Freddie from a previous relationship.
But he admitted: "I'm not too sure about nappies."
"[Freddie's] so sweet," Sophie gushed. "Every day he's like, 'Is the baby OK?'"
Speaking about why he wouldn't be finding out the gender of his child, Jake said: "I think it will be really nice as a surprise to find out on the day."
He added: "Whatever, boy or girl, I'm going to be so excited."
Lorraine exclaimed: "I don't think I've ever seen you so happy!"
