Jake Paul uses Tommy Fury fight announcement to respond to Dana White

Jake Paul believes his fight with Tommy Fury is the perfect retort to UFC president Dana White's criticism.

White hit out at Paul over his criticism of Claressa Shields, the world champion boxer who lost her second MMA bout this week.

YouTube star Paul, who is carving out his own career as a professional fighter, called her "a loser" after Shields had criticised his rise in the sport.

White responded by saying: “When are you going to start fighting someone your own f****** age, your own weight, that actually fights in your own f****** sport that you’re claiming you’re in?

"Shut the f*** up, you goofball. For you to call Claressa Shields a loser is f****** unbelievable."

Paul later confirmed he and Fury have signed to fight in Florida on December 18 to settle their long-running feud.

And Paul took to Instagram, firstly pointing out that as Shields lost her fight, she is, technically, a loser.

"Claressa Shields loses MMA bout... right there," he said, pointing to a report of her defeat. "Maybe that's why he loves Conor so much, because he keeps losing."

Paul then re-played a clip of White asking when he was going to fight a 'real' boxer before pulling up a head-to-head poster with his and Fury's stats.

"Right now, daddy Dana, I just announced it today, thank you for being part of the announcement," he trolled.

"We're basically the same age, the same height, the same reach and the same weight! He's 7-0, undefeated; I'm 4-0, undefeated, and his brother is the heavyweight champion of the world.

"If that's not a real boxer then I don't know what is. I 'm doing it Dana!"

Paul and Fury have been negotiating their fight for two months following Paul's win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

His split-decision victory followed wins over fellow social media star AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson and former wrestler and mixed martial artist Ben Askren.

Fury, however, warned Paul he has bitten off more than he can chew.

“I’m not one of these MMA men or basketball players, I have been boxing my whole life," he said. "On December 18 I will show the world the difference between a YouTuber and a real fighting man.

"Thanks to my promoter Frank Warren, Most Valuable Promotions and Showtime for giving me the opportunity to shut this clown up once and for all."
