Jake Paul told exactly why YouTube star will never be boxing world champion

Viddal Riley believes Jake Paul is unlikely to become a world champion due to his lack of professional ranking and classification with the governing bodies.

Paul recently recorded his fifth professional victory in a rematch with Tyron Woodley, stopping the former UFC star in the sixth round.

The YouTube star is in pursuit of becoming world champion in the sport and is planning to challenge Canelo Alvarez later in his career.

Riley has admitted he is uncertain whether Paul is currently ranked but suspects he is a long way from being crowned champion by a governing body.

"I don't know," Riley told his YouTube channel. "Who knows, he is not heading in the direction to do that right now.

"People don't understand of course he is putting on big events, making money and things like that but there are rankings and governing bodies in the sport.

"Which to my knowledge he has kept that quiet from the people. I don't think he is making any routes in that direction, so I doubt it because I don't think he is going to go on for that long but who knows."

Riley is returning to the professional ranks himself in the coming months having signed a new promotional deal with BOXXER who are partnered with media giant Sky Sports.

He is known as a personality in the YouTube space and is associated with KSI having helped train him for his fights with Logan Paul.

Riley's latest verdict has cast further doubt on Paul's future in the sport, after he made a retirement offer to Dana White in exchange for a meeting in the UFC against Jorge Masvidal.

However the promotion's kingpin was quick to reject the offer and ripped into the YouTuber for his recent pay-per-view against Woodley which is expected to have sold below par.

Despite the offer, Paul is planning to continue his route in boxing and has called out several fighters who are 'natural' boxers including Tommy Fury and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

But Paul also remains keen on bringing UFC stars into crossover bouts such as Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor although it looks increasingly unlikely as his row with White rumbles on.

The 25-year-old has previously stated his plans to take the sport "seriously" and is hoping to fight until ten victories undefeated before earning a belt and retiring.

"The sky is the limit for me right now," Paul said during a lengthy Q&A session on his Youtube channel, responding to a question about what his ultimate boxing goal is.

"If I want to accomplish something it's all about me being able to do that and me making the commitment and putting in the work required to do that.

"But I think right now, going to 10-0, being undefeated, fighting some big names, making history and maybe taking a world championship belt from somebody just to say I did it, and retiring at 10-0."
