Jake Paul to send contract to Tommy Fury for rematch amid KSI row

Jake Paul has pounced on talks stalling between rivals KSI and Tommy Fury in a bid to avenge his defeat against the British fighter.

After years if bitter verbal sparring, the two finally went at in February as they put their respective unbeaten records on the line in Saudi Arabia. And despite being floored by Paul, it was Fury who took the bragging rights as he prevailed on a split decision.

It was the first time in seven professional contests that the YouTuber had fought an actual boxer, previously focusing on fellow influencers and retired MMA stars. And his maiden defeat seemingly sent him back on his initial career path, finalising a bout with Nate Diaz on August 5.

In the meantime, Fury opened talks with another YouTuber-turned-boxer, KSI. But having initially stated he would be happy to take a bout at 180lbs, negotiations have since stalled after the ex-Love Island star seemingly changed the goalposts, demanding instead it took place at 185lbs.

That's prompted an angry rant from KSI, who has now given Fury until 6pm on Monday to sign the current contract before he declares the deal off: "I don't think this fight is happening anymore," he conceded. "Tommy Fury is simply being difficult and making this four month negotiation an absolute chore.

"We agreed on all the terms, we agreed on paying you exactly what you asked for. We agreed on rounds and to fight at 180 with no rehydration clause. We agreed to fight in your home town, Manchester, you know, we agreed all of that."

And 'The Problem Child' has now eyed his own opportunity to revenge. Despite his arranged bout with former UFC icon Diaz, he's claimed to have sent an offer to Fury, tweeting: "I’ve asked my team to send Tommy Fury the contract for rematch as early as October. Need to handle business on August 5 and then we run it."

In what appeared a direct reference to KSI's ire over Fury's new suggested weight, Paul then followed up with another post that read: "185 pounds. 10 rounds. Simple."

Fury has previously joked he would be putting a 'no elbow clause' in the paperwork before taking on KSI, who now runs his own Misfits Boxing label. That was after the internet star's win against Joe Fournier in May was overturned to a "no decision" after he knocked out the nightclub owner with an illegal elbow.
