Jake Paul says Tommy Fury is an easier fight than Tyron Woodley: ‘I’m gonna knock him the f*ck out’

Although Tommy Fury is the first legitimate boxer Jake Paul is going to face, he doesn’t view him as his toughest test.

YouTube sensation-turned pro boxer Paul has notched four wins since lacing up the gloves, picking up wins over YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA player Nate Robinson, former Bellator and ONE Championship titleholder Ben Askren, and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

He faces Fury on Dec. 18 in an eight-round, 192-pound catchweight bout at Amalie Arena and although Fury has seven pro boxing wins under his belt, he doesn’t think the unbeaten Brit has ever been properly tested.

“This is an easier fight than Tyron,” Paul said at the pre-fight U.K. press conference. “This is a young kid who’s never had a real fight, and I’m gonna knock him the f*ck out because he doesn’t have a chin. He’s never even been hit hard by anybody.”

He continued, “These people think they’re gonna come in and beat me because they have amateur careers or they’re professional this or UFC that. They don’t understand what they’re getting in with. It’s funny to see each and every one of them fail in front the world. The same exact thing is gonna happen to Tommy and people will just come back and look at these press conferences and these interviews and say, ‘Damn, this kid really knew what he was talking about.'”

Fury, the 22-year-old half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, thinks Paul bit off more than he can chew by accepting to face someone who’s actually dedicated their life to the sport of boxing.

“When his fights aren’t rigged, he can’t win,” Fury said. “When his fights aren’t rigged and set up, he loses. Let’s be honest, I’m not a UFC fighter, I’m not a YouTuber, and I’m not a basketball player. I’ve been doing this my whole life and come Dec. 18, you’re gonna have a funny look at the team around you because they got you in a world of trouble.”
