Jake Paul's coach Shane Mosley believes the YouTube star's speed and power will see him KO Nate Diaz.
YouTube star Paul lost his first fight since stepping in the boxing ring when he fell to split decision defeat against bitter rival Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia. Despite the looming possibility of a rematch, Paul elected to instead select fellow rival Diaz for a boxing fight which will take place on August 5 in Dallas.
Paul knows that a win will be vital to restore momentum in his influencer boxing career and could lead to a potential fight with KSI or even a sequel with Fury. And coach Mosley, who has linked up with the 'Problem Child' for his return clash, believes he will be under-estimated by his upcoming opponent.
"I can't see it going the distance," Mosley said during an interview on The DAZN Boxing Show when discussing Paul's chances of stopping UFC veteran Diaz. "I think he knocks him out. Jake is much harder and a lot faster than a lot of people think. When I first trained him I noticed he was an athlete. He will run, he will do wrestling and all of these things.
"He picked up everything really quick and learning. I think that he can tell that this is not Nate's natural thing. I think Nate will under-estimate his power, speed and ability to navigate the ring. And that is a big difference. There is some stuff that he learned at the beginning, and I think these bad habits are being corrected and he is going to do a lot better.
"If you have to lose this was a way of doing it so he can learn and get better. He knows he can get better in these departments and fields." Diaz will likely provide a different type of test given he has yet to fight in the boxing ring in his career, despite being known for his striking power in the octagon.

Paul had won all of his fights to date prior to losing against Fury including against ex-MMA stars Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. However Diaz will be filled with motivation to capture his first squared circle win before even potentially exploring a rematch with Conor McGregor back in the UFC.
If Diaz is to win, Paul has even admitted he could retire from the sport despite having yet to fulfil his ambitions. "Truly, this fight is do or die. I have to leave it all on the line," he said at a press conference. "And the same is true for Nate Diaz. I just lost [to Tommy Fury]. And if [Diaz] beats me, where does that leave me?
"In my mind, that’s how I’m treating it. I have done more for the sport than any boxers in current history. What is Floyd Mayweather done for the women's boxing? The list goes on, I've changed the whole entire game and brought a new 70 million followers to the sport."
