Jake Paul responds to rival KSI winning two fights with "smart man" comment

Jake Paul was thoroughly unimpressed with KSI's two wins in his boxing return tonight at The O2 arena in London, and insists that he was clever not to call him out.

Paul and KSI's rivalry dates back almost half a decade, and it appears that the British YouTube sensation has launched a return to the fight game under the impression that his journey will end with a bout against his long-time rival. But Paul has rebuffed his efforts thus far after initially seeming keen to take a short notice fight with him three weeks ago when Alex Wassabi pulled out.

The American, whose brother Logan fought KSI twice and is now close friends with his old rival, took to Twitter to rubbish the rapper's efforts after he knocked out both of his opponents tonight; first rapper Swarmz within two rounds and then Mexican professional boxer Luis Pineda.

"Nate Robinson would beat KSI," Paul tweeted, before adding "Smart man KSI is not calling me out. He knows the truth." Paul also retweeted a message from legendary women's fighter Amanda Serrano, saying "You can’t deny KSI is a massive influencer. But he is in for a bad night if he tries to fight Jake Paul. I hope his team protects him, just my opinion."

Paul will announce his October return to the ring later this week, and promises that it will be an exciting opponent. However, KSI's team aren't worried about him overshadowing a huge night at The O2 arena in London, where they announced that Misfits Boxing will also return in October.

The American was due to face Hasim Rahman Jr in August as well as Tommy Fury, but both men pulled out and he was left without an opponent, meaning he's now heading for ten months out of action. KSI seems unfazed by Paul's antics, and completely ignored him in his post-fight speech despite being flanked by his brother Logan, who declared the Brit was his "best friend".

KSI instead called out Andrew Tate, Tommy Fury and a host of YouTube stars for his ring return, which is slated for January's edition of Misfits Boxing. He seemed keen to face co-main event winner Slim Albaher, as well as the winner of AnEsonGib vs Austin McBroom which takes place next month in California.
