Jake Paul responds to cheating accusation ahead of Tyron Woodley fight

Jake Paul has responded to claims he is using 'PEDS' by stating that they are just "excuses" and that he will take them as a "compliment" ahead of his crossover fight with Tyron Woodley.

The YouTube star prepares to take on his fourth professional fight in the sport after defeating the likes of Ben Askren and targeting future crossover contests with UFC fighters, and has generated a large amount of negative interest regarding his involvement in the ranks.

Paul has been bold explaining his ambition to become future world champion and take on the best fighters in the world including the likes of Canelo Alvarez and Conor McGregor from each sport.

But now sensationally George St Pierre's coach Firas Zahabi claimed that Paul was "on all sorts of substances" and that Woodley's corner would "no doubt be clean".

The 24-year-old has responded labelling them as further "excuses" and is ready to take them as a compliment as he believes he will make more "light work" of Woodley at the weekend to take his fourth victory.

“Yeah so I woke up a couple of mornings ago and my manager sent me that headline and said ‘hey hope you see this’," Paul revealed on The Last Stand with Brian Custer.

“So I first swiped up on my phone and typed in ‘what are PEDS’.

“This is honestly hilarious, how many excuses are they gonna make, people were saying ‘Ben Askren is going to beat Jake Paul’, ‘Nate Robinson is the betting favourite he is just a YouTuber’.

“They just know now that I am coming for their five-time UFC champion, I am gonna knock him out and they are trying to make up any excuse they possibly can.

“Its a real professional fight with commissions and drug testing, so how are these people coming up with that?

“I am looking at it as a compliment as I am making light work of these people, and they are running out of excuses.”

These astonishing claims have shown that several UFC stars are against Paul's involvement in crossover boxing, but he continues to call out the likes of the Diaz brothers and Conor McGregor on his 'hit-list' that he revealed on social media.

And Paul has received backing from the MMA world that he can defeat Woodley despite his superior experience striking in comparison to previous opponents, with UFC veteran Dan Hardy claiming that Woodley won't have enough "gas in the tank".

“I’m going to surprise people here, and I’m probably going to let the MMA world down," Hardy admitted to BT Sport Boxing.

"But I actually think Jake Paul’s going to do it.

"I’ll tell you why – it’s because of my concern of Tyron Woodley’s gas tank. This is eight rounds.

"He’s going in there against a guy that’s had three pro fights; of course, he’s not been fighting world-beaters.

"But this is Tyron coming towards the end of his competitive career and stepping in there with ego, with anger, against a young kid who’s got some experience and has all the belief in the world.”

Paul has already altered his knockout prediction ahead of the clash, but has ignited a social media feud with Woodley who claimed that Paul was 'using his name for clout'.
