Jake Paul, Piers Morgan round 1? Morgan slams Paul for beating up an old man

Jake Paul may have beaten Mike Tyson, but it was Piers Morgan who sent him running straight out of an interview.

In a gloriously cringeworthy meltdown on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the 28-year-old “Problem Child” wearing a sombrero — for some reason — proved he can’t handle a jab outside the ring.

When Morgan dared question Paul’s “victory” over a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, Paul responded the only way he knows how: by hurling expletives, fat-shaming, and storming off the Zoom call like an angry teen whose Wi-Fi cut out during Fortnite.

Morgan says what everyone’s thinking

Let’s be honest—plenty of people thought Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson was less of a boxing match and more of an AARP stunt gone rogue. Morgan just said the quiet part out loud: “You think you’d have beaten peak Mike Tyson? No disrespect to you, you’d have had two hopes: no hope or thin Hope.”

Oof. That’s when Paul went full YouTube mode: “You don’t think I can beat Mike Tyson, I don’t think you go to the gym. You versus the gym? You’re still a fat a—.”

That’s right. Jake Paul responded to a legitimate question about sportsmanship and credibility by insulting Morgan’s body. Classy.

Jake Paul vs. accountability: still undefeated

When Morgan tried to shift gears and ask about Paul’s upcoming fight against Julio César Chávez Jr., Paul doubled down on the tantrum. “I think the problem here, Piers, is that you think your opinion matters,” Paul spat. “I don’t give a f— about your show, dumba—.” Then—poof—he was gone. Just a blank Zoom screen and a bewildered Morgan blinking into the void.

Morgan, to his credit, didn’t even flinch. “Cheers, Jake, really enjoyed that. And good luck to Julio – knock him out for all of us, will you?” Translation: Thanks for the viral moment, and please, someone shut this guy up.

Context: The YouTuber boxer vs. the provocateur-in-chief

Paul is many things—a marketer, a troll, an occasional boxer—but sensitive isn’t supposed to be one of them. Still, Morgan touched a nerve by pointing out what critics have said for months: that Paul’s big “wins” come with asterisks. Tyson hadn’t fought competitively in decades. Paul may have punched his way to viral fame, but it’s not exactly against opponents in their prime.

And Morgan? Say what you want about the former Daily Mail editor and America’s Got Talent judge, but he knows how to rattle a cage. From Meghan Markle to Andrew Tate, Morgan has made a career out of saying things right or wrong that make headlines—and enemies.

Round 1 goes to… Morgan?

If Paul hoped to boost his image heading into the June 28 fight with Chávez Jr., this wasn’t it. Instead, he showed just how thin-skinned he is when confronted with actual scrutiny. The self-styled disruptor of boxing apparently can’t handle a little disruption himself.

Meanwhile, Morgan likely got exactly what he wanted: a juicy viral clip, a fresh feud to milk, and a reminder that when it comes to stirring the pot, he’s still got the reach.

The internet has already picked sides, with fans either praising Morgan’s cool under fire or defending Paul’s usual chest-thumping antics. But one thing is clear—this wasn’t just an interview gone wrong. It was a perfect collision of ego, spectacle, and the modern circus we call influencer culture. Round two, anyone?
