Jake Paul must forget about his own Tyron Woodley comments after Tommy Fury blow

Jake Paul could now need to backtrack on his previous comments regarding Tyron Woodley, following Tommy Fury's exit from the December 18th bout.

Just 12 days before the clash in Tampa, Florida, Fury has pulled out of the bout - leaving Paul needing an opponent for his showcase event.

It has been confirmed Woodley will be the man to step in and it will result in a major U-turn from Paul.

Speaking to TMZ Sports previously about a potential rematch with Woodley, the YouTuber-turned-boxer made it clear that wasn't something he was looking at.

“By the time [Woodley] got the tattoo we had already moved on. We had already moved on to fighting Tommy Fury and making the negotiations happen," he said.

"I don’t think people really want to see Tyron vs Jake Paul again, so he has had his chance.”

Those comments came after Paul had verbally agreed to a rematch, before then changing his attitude on the matter, in a decision that left Woodley frustrated.

Woodley will now have his chance to secure revenge with the rematch, although attention on the fight will be significantly less than it would have been with Fury on the card.

There was little to suggest in the first meeting that Woodley had more to offer in the bout, with the main event being rather disappointing.

But Fury pulling out means Woodley will get another crack at Paul.
