Jake Paul jumps in pool wearing shoes during workout for Tyron Woodley rematch

Jake Paul broke off his open workout to take a dip in the pool just days out from his rematch with Tyron Woodley.

The YouTube star was branded "Jake Phelps" by his coach BJ Flores after leaping in the pool at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa.

Security, media and hotel guests were shocked when the social media sensation donned swimming goggles and decided to leave the ring and jump into the water, without even taking his shoes off.

He emerged after a brief swim to take part in a media scrum, after being swarmed by fans at the Florida hotel.

"Jake Phelps," he declared during an interview on the official Showtime Boxing broadcast. "I'm doing my open workout!

"That's all it is, I've got to hit the laps, finish up some cardio and that was really my last cardio workout of camp.

"I took advantage of the pool being right there, we swam a lot in this camp so I decided to hit it in the open workout, why not?

"With shoes you're a little bit heavier and it makes it a bit harder to swim."

Paul has become notorious for his antics at open workouts before his fights, showing off a series of bizarre stretches during the build-up to his fights with Ben Askren and Woodley earlier this year.

He has won all four of his professional bouts to date, but was given his toughest test by this weekend's opponent back in August.

The pair squared off in Cleveland with Paul coming out on the right end of a split decision, before seemingly moving on to a fight with Tommy Fury.

However, the Love Island star was forced to pull out of their meeting due to broken ribs and a chest infection, and Paul insists that he will never give the 7-0 Brit another chance at a massive money fight.

Who's a tougher fight for Jake Paul; Tommy Fury or Tyron Woodley? Let us know your opinion in the comments section below!

"I don't think a fight between us will ever happen," Paul explained. "I don't want to give him the opportunity.

"He had his shot, and I'd like to see him have to fight 20 more times to even get paid the same as he was going to get to face me.

"Sorry Tommy, but it's not going to happen - he wasn't really haggling me from what I saw, I was mostly bickering back-and-forth with Tyson."

A fight with Fury, whose brother is the world heavyweight champion Tyson, would have been his first test against what many would refer to as a 'legitimate boxer'.

But many believe that Woodley is a tougher test, particularly after the ex-UFC star wobbled and almost dropped him in their first meeting.

Paul has further incentivised Woodley to stop him this time out by inserting a $500,000 bonus into his contract should he knock the YouTube star out.
