Jake Paul issues immediate response to KSI's first-round KO of Faze Temperrr

Jake Paul revealed he was glad rival KSI knocked out FaZe Temperrr as the two YouTubers close in on a mega-fight.

Paul and KSI - real name Olajide Olatunji - have been on a collision course for several years but could finally meet towards the end of the year. And KSI continued his winning streak with a first-round stoppage of his social media rival to record his fourth successive victory.

Paul, who is expected to return to the ring himself next month, possibly against Tommy Fury, immediately took to social media to respond: "I love when KSI wins because it gives him more confidence for him to actually get in the ring with me. I also love that I’m your 'final level'. The peak of your career. Keep going Haymaker. You will get to the top of the mountain and then Master Splinter will gladly knock you right back down to level one."

KSI, who took his record to 4-0 with his latest victory, looks set to take on Joe Fournier in May with the rivals facing off after the final bell. "I said I wanted a KO," said the winnner. "I said I wanted round one and here we are. I want you guys to understand the levels.

'Look at what Swarmz did to Ryan Taylor, look at what Luis Pineda did to BDave and look at what I did to FaZe Temperrr. I’m on a different level. We’re going again ladies and gentleman, I’m hungry. Joe Fournier, I want a piece of that, [Tyron] Woodley, I want a piece of that. "

KSI and Paul remain some way off in terms of their negotiations but the Londoner is hopeful a deal can be struck for a December meeting - and will accept a 50/50 purse split. "It has to be in the UK, I think I'm definitely the A-Side, I walk second, ring size I think it should be a nice 20-foot ring and I think that's it that's on my mind," he told Mirror Fighting .

"I'm sure there's other things money-wise that Mams [Taylor, his manager] and Nakisa [Bidarian, Paul's manager] can deal with. 50-50 seems fair. I don't think it should be 60-40 in anyone's favour or anything. 50-50 makes sense."
