Jake Paul has told Conor McGregor to "win at his own sport" before he will consider offering him another boxing fight.
YouTube star Paul claims to have made a $50million offer to McGregor before the Irishman was knocked out by Dustin Poirier in their January rematch.
Paul later withdrew the offer and will now take on former UFC star Ben Askren in his third professional fight next month.
McGregor, meanwhille, is close to agreeing terms with Poirier for a third fight in Las Vegas on July 10.
And Paul claims only if McGregor returns to winning ways will he countenance the possibility of calling him out.
"I just think McGregor has that name where he will be big in this sport for a while," he told ESPN. "But, if he loses again to Poirier, I’ll be like, ‘Let me fight Poirier,’ why not?
"He has to win in his own sport first and then maybe we can figure something out.
"I’m Conor’s money fight right now as crazy as that sounds. Khabib [Nurmagomedov] retired, he’s all p***** off about it. Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor is the money fight. It’s funny, what world are we living in where that even makes sense?"
Paul's clash with Askren on April 17 represents a step up for the social media star following victories over fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA star Nate Robinson.
And he claims he is in the boxing game for the long haul.
"I’m definitely a boxing lifer," he added. "I’m addicted to this sport. I will become the biggest prizefighter in boxing; simple as that.
"Haters will be haters... when there’s a new young buck in the game coming up and ruffling feathers, they’re going to be upset. But again, I’m just trying to bring more eyeballs to the sport.
"I’m having fun doing it and I’m just doing me. There’s room for everyone to eat.
"After my Nate Robinson fight, there were probably about 70 people calling me out, wanting to fight me. There were probably six people that made sense to fight in [Michael] Bisping, McGregor, [Nate] Diaz, [Dillon] Danis, Askren, some YouTubers that are popular, but I wanted to fight a real MMA fighter.
"When it came to signing the contract, a lot of them didn’t want to do it. By the way, this is me coming to them with the biggest payday of their lives.
"This is Ben’s biggest payday of his life; he’s publicly said that. So, when it came down to signing the contract, he was actually down."
