Jake Paul hits out at Dana White after Nate Diaz vs Khamzat Chimaev is cancelled

Jake Paul has claimed Khamzat Chimaev "screwed" UFC president Dana White by weighing in heavy for his fight with Nate Diaz.

Chimaev weighed in 7.5lb over the welterweight limit ahead of his clash with Friday to force the UFC to cancel the bout and match the Russian with Kevin Holland and Diaz with Tony Ferguson. Diaz is due to leave the promotion following his fight at UFC 279 with many fans claiming he was being "fed" to rising star Chimaev.

But Diaz opened as the favourite to beat Ferguson who was due to face Li Jingliang, leaving social media star Paul to tweet: "Dana White tried to screw over his fellow American Nate Diaz…but the Russian Khamzat Chimaev was a double agent and screwed Dana White. The irony of it all."

Paul has had a long-running feud with White having criticised the promotion's stance on fighter pay and healthcare. Paul has even offered to fight UFC legend Conor McGregor in the cage if it would help improve conditions for the lowest-paid fighters on the roster.

The pair have also clashed over Paul's fledgling boxing career with the YouTuber amassing a record of 5-0 having beaten fellow social media star AnEsonGib, former NBA star Nate Robinson and former MMA stand-outs Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. Paul will take on UFC legend Anderson Silva next month in a fight White claimed he would never call for.

And in a video promoting the fight, Pau introduced a clip of White heaping praise on Silva, insisting he may be the greatest athlete in the history of combat sports. "We honestly need to start talking about this guy again as the GOAT [Greatest of All Time]," White said at a press conference a few months ago.

Will Jake Paul beat Anderson Silva? Let us know in the comments section below

"He knocked Tito [Ortiz] out in 40 f***ing seconds, but he did to Tito exactly what should be done to Tito, knocking Tito out in 40 seconds is what should have happened in that fight. Anderson Silva beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at 46, forty-f***ing-six-years-old. He should be considered one of the greatest of all time possibly even the greatest of all time.

"It'll be interesting to see what he does next and I f***ing guarantee you this, you ain't going to see Jake Paul calling Anderson Silva out. That I f***ing promise you because he's his size and he's actually f***ing good, hey Jake, Anderson's out. Jake? Jake? Jake?"

Paul took the opportunity to throw White's comments back in his face after confirming he will take on Silva in Phoenix, Arizona on October 29.
