Jake Paul gifts coach £9,000 Rolex ahead of Tyron Woodley rematch

Jake Paul has gifted his coach BJ Flores a £9,000 Rolex watch ahead of his rematch with Tyron Woodley this weekend.

Paul is set to fight ex-UFC champion Woodley for the second time after Love Island star Tommy Fury withdrew from the fight last week.

The 24-year-old out-landed Woodley in August to win a split decision in just his fourth professional fight, whilst Woodley was making his boxing debut.

Flores - who coaches no other fighters apart from Paul - is a former cruiserweight title challenger who hasn't fought since 2018.

And the 42-year-old revealed the Rolex Datejust watch Paul gifted him with on social media.

The trainer is confident that the inexperienced Paul will look "a lot better" on December 18 than his first outing with Woodley.

"Jake’s a lot better now than he was on August 29. You’ve got to remember, he just started boxing, so in a short period he gets a lot better very quickly." Flores told SunSport.

“He’s only been boxing two years, so four months is 15 per cent of his entire career, so he’s getting a lot better.

“I know it will be a tough fight, Tyron will be tough in the beginning, but we expect Tyron won’t go the distance this time.

“It’s going to be a different fight this time and people will see that. Jake’s pace is going to be very high.”

Woodley claimed he only rewatched his first fight with Paul last week and has vowed to correct the mistakes that costed him a close decision loss.

The 39-year-old could also make a win against his rival even sweeter, as Paul has boldly put an additional $500,000 in Woodley's contract if he can win by knockout.

And Flores thinks Woodley's hesitancy to let his hands go in the first fight was because of Paul's abilities as a boxer.

"We’ll see how Tyron comes out. He’s an experienced veteran. The reason he wasn’t punching last time was because he couldn’t," Flores continued.

“He was getting counter-punched, he was getting hit when he was getting in range, he wasn’t really sure what part of the ring he needed to be in to not get hit.

“It’s a lot different than UFC, so he was trying to get his bearings as well, he’d never been in there with someone like Jake. We’ll be prepared for the best Tyron.

"I expect him to be aggressive, we’re going to be able to do what we always do. We can box, we can move and come forward, whatever we want to do."
